The “ready” chime was useful during prototyping, then it got in the way. Conversations should feel like… conversations — no doorbells between sentences. We removed the earcon, toned the attack, and let breaths lead the phrase.
It’s not silence; it’s presence. The voice begins naturally, sits in the pocket of your attention, and leaves without a clatter. Flow matters more than feedback when the UI already makes state obvious.
